Appendix 1 – Facilities Checklist

The Ed Directions coaches use two tools to begin the discussion with academic leaders about school readiness for school to open. The facilities checklist provides school leaders with a list of facilities issues that relate to academic preparedness and safety considerations. Ed Directions’ coaches use this with academic leaders to walk through the building, the classrooms, and the grounds to make sure that when students arrive, they will find a safe and organized facility ready for them to begin their learning work.
